Covid-19 Entry rules to British Isles/America

Safety protocols designed to help make your experience safer

Protected staff

Ireland and More Tours/Secret Ireland Tours LLC   are monitoring the well-being of our guides and drivers, and we have mandated regular temperature checks to help ensure they are healthy. They will wear gloves and masks and maintain appropriate social distancing during their time with you. We will also ensure that you have access to hand sanitizer and masks.

Sanitized vehicles

Ireland and More Tours/Secret Ireland Tours  vehicles are thoroughly sanitized prior to each tour and each night. We’re committed to ensuring that each vehicle will be stocked with gloves, hand sanitizer and face masks.

Away from crowds

In addition to providing our private-guided experiences, Ireland and More Tours/Secret Ireland Tours will use an “away from the crowds” approach for entering any attractions and sites. By focusing on off-peak access, we will enable our clients to enjoy key sites and attractions with comfort and ease.

Vetted hotels

Beyond our always careful selection of hotel partners, we are committed to delivering our guests only to properties that have rolled out a comprehensive, elevated standard for cleaning rooms and operating their dining spaces, common areas and administrative services. We only choose accommodations that have completed the Covid Safety Charter course.

As you might be aware, there are Covid requirements for travelers entering Ireland, and the US. Below are the requirements that the Irish Gov. require for your entry to Ireland.

Below is a summary:

If you are travelling to Ireland or parts of the British Isles from overseas you must fill out a Passenger Locator Form before departure.

You also have to have appropriate valid proof of vaccination or recovery, or to present evidence of a negative RT-PCR result from a test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival into the country.

A relevant EU Digital COVID Certificate based on an approved course of vaccination, recovery or a negative RT-PCR test constitutes valid proof. See below information on the approved vaccine courses and number of days required after vaccination.

Non RT-PCR tests are not accepted when travelling to Ireland and passengers with a Digital COVID Certificate based on a non RT-PCR test (for example, antigen tests) require proof of an additional negative RT-PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before arrival.

In situations where a person is required to present evidence of a negative/'not detected' RT-PCR test prior to travel, and is unable to do so due to persistently positive RT-PCR test after recovery, then a positive RT-PCR result will be acceptable which was taken no less than 11 days and no more than 180 days prior to arrival to the State.

Proof of vaccination

A non-Digital COVID Certificate proof of vaccination means a record or evidence in written or electronic form in English or Irish or an official translation into Irish or English which contains the following:

  • confirmation that the person to whom the record or evidence refers is a vaccinated person

  • the date or dates on which the person was vaccinated

  • the body in the state concerned implementing the vaccination programme (howsoever described) on behalf of the state that administered or caused to be administered the vaccination to the person concerned; or the body in the state concerned that has been authorised to issue such record or other evidence to the person concerned.

  • the HSE Vaccination Card is an example of acceptable non-Digital COVID Certificate proof of vaccination.

There are Standards that will be implemented for the safety of both staff and Guests:

Our policies implemented for precautions against the spread of Covid-19 are based on the recommended standards required by local and international healthcare governance such as the CDC, HSE and WHO. These policies are always subject to change but we will endeavor to keep abreast of changes and keep you up to date.

1 We adhere to local regulations with regards to mask wearing, social distancing and vaccine requirements.

2 We ensure that our staff have a supply of hand sanitizer and masks on the bus each morning.

3 We insure that all accommodation holds the Gov. Certified Charter of Safety.

4 We reserve the right to exclude anyone (staff or Guests) if they exhibit signs of sickness, fever, cough, chills, loss of taste or smell, difficulty          breathing, chest pain or any other symptoms associated with Covid.
